For the longest time we have been saying there’s no such thing as ‘best practice’.  ‘Best practice’ is nothing more than ‘average’, and average is just not good enough today.

This doesn’t only apply to IT leaders, but all leaders who are so fond of the concept of ‘best practice’ as a phrase to let others think that the practice has been well-considered.  As this article explains, it’s just not so.
