“If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it” – a phrase attributed to many people, the most famous of whom include Peter Drucker and Robert Kaplan, separately. But, whoever coined this phrase, the fact remains, unless you know what “good” looks like and can measure it, you can never know whether or not you are achieving it.
Research over the years has demonstrated unequivocally that, the Human Capital Capability of an organization is a major differentiator between top-performing and non-top-performing organizations, globally! And is also a strong indicator of future strength of the organization.
As a result there is increasing interest in Human Capital Management and the use of a HR scorecard to provide a framework within which to measure and monitor that value.
